Instructions for the installation of Eolo ventilation windows a pdf
Carefully read these instructions before installation
Description
Eolo ventilation windows are designed to improve and facilitate the ventilation of the stays in which they are installed.
They help reduce moisture, facilitate the recirculation of the vitiated air, reduce the bad smells of basements or garages and help prevent the formation of mold and fungi and the degradation of the wood caused by moisture. The ventilation windows, if closed, isolate completely from bad weather and external atmospheric agents, helping to maintain the internal temperature of the rooms.
General Information
Eolo Vents ventilation windows have undergone factory operation tests and should not present defects.
If there is any damage to the package or item, notify the distributor/point of sale immediately and send a request for quality guarantee or change of the window if damaged.
ATTENTION: The recommended use of ventilation windows is for domestic use. They are not recommended for industrial use or premises for the storage of toxic, chemical products, paintings or where gases and/or similar are used or store. Whenever possible, air tickets in a room like basements or below the street level should be located on all possible sides of the room. This with the aim of creating an admission/exhaust system that provides a constant air flow. For exclusive residential use, the international standard (IRC) demands 10 square cm of net ventilation surface for every 10 square meters of built surface. Generally, a ventilation window serves for every 7 square meters of surface.

Instructions for the installation of Eolo ventilation windows
Note: Install the Eolo ventilation window from the outside of the room where it is used, with the door of
Guillotine that opens from the bottom up.
Paso 1. Measure the width and height of the opening of the wall hole. Make sure the ventilation window
Lace in the opening.
Paso 2. Clean and level the perimeter of the wall hole. If necessary, it is possible to reinforce the hole of the
Wall where the future Eolo ventilation window will be installed by providing a perimeter cage made with stainless steel reinforcement rod AISI 304 ribbed 6 mm in diameter. We recommend dimensioning the rods (2 for each side of the window) about 3 cm longer than the wall of the wall and introducing the spare centimeters on the sides of the wall making holes of about 8 mm in diameter and once the rods are placed, seal them only with silicone, taking care that the mortar or material used to seal does not fill the holes. Reinforcement rods should always have the possibility of not being rigid and therefore being able to "move" and maintain a certain elasticity.
Paso 3. Place the ventilation window at the opening, making sure that the guillotine opening system is placed at the bottom (below) looking at the ventilation window.
Paso 4. Insert wedges into the four sides of the ventilation window to block it momentarily until the final fixation is achieved. With the help of the palette and a level, check the exact position of the window that must be perfectly flat. However, it does not force the wedges whose use is destined exclusively to block the
Wall window window
Paso 5. Check if you need to adjust the window location and make sure that the perimeter space on all four sides is uniform.
Paso 6. When we have proven that all the previous steps have been carried out correctly, we can proceed to cut the wedges uniformly, leaving the internal part of them within the perimeter of the ventilation window in contact with the four sides of the wall and the window frame, taking care that they do not excessively compress the frame of the window itself, but that they block it leaving a minimum of possibility of movement and dilation.
Paso 7. Our advice is to start sealing applying low expansion foam for windows and doors, or silicone or cement and fine sand in the spaces around our ventilation window. Do not cope with blank spaces.
Paso 8. If expandable foam was used, wait a few minutes and then clean the excess and end up sealing the window well and continue with any decoration on the wall itself.
