Readyblock system
The system ReadyBlock aluminum has been designed for Build walls with glass blocks to a maximum recommended surface of five square meters in a simple and fast way, without the need for qualified personnel or use Argamas, which allows clean and tidy environments.
In addition, these walls built with Readyblock provide, immediately, once finished, an idea of elegance and robustness thanks to the use of the new perimeter profile in aluminum, of the Silicone Readysil and to the reduced dimensions of the together, only 2 mm.
The Readyblock system can be used both indoors and outdoors; For example, like shower screen, where it is also possible to combine glass block terminals so that both can be seen, either in vertical or horizontal mode.
The Readyblock system can be used with several glass blocks. It is important to remember that the wall measurement must always be higher in at least 5 mm. With respect to the measure of the dimensional scheme found in the instructions.
The Readyblock system can be used both with the perimeter profile (advised choice) and, even, also using horizontal profiles, vertical separations and side hooks. Depending on the type of assembly chosen, find out the measures of the walls in order to determine the necessary material. Our technical department is at your disposal for any consultation or clarification.
You will need
Gloves, metal saw, meter, level, drill and drill, galvanized screws, silicone gun, screwdriver, rubber mace, water cube, clean and sponge clean.
Preliminary works
-Cut the Ars-l horizontal profiles .. with 6 mm. less than the hole between perimeter profiles.
- Carefully check that the profiles and blocks are clean before installation.
- Check: maximum recommended anchure = 240 cm. / maximum recommended height = 240 cm.
Installation of glass blocks
1
Assemble the horizontal perimeter profile with the two vertical perimeter profiles and also with the horizontal perimeter profile of the upper part of our wall using the metal squads supplied. It is not necessary to screw the squads to the perimeter profiles, but, in any case, for greater security they can be screwed. Once the 2 vertical perimeter profiles with the two horizontal perimeter profiles and with the 4 squads are assembled, the perimeter structure of our wall with glass blocks will have formed. At this point we will insert it into the wall hole. The wall hole should be approximately 1 cm larger than our Readyblock aluminum structure.
2
Screw the horizontal perimeter profile at the bottom of the wall hole and anchor it with flat head screws every 40/50 cm. At the same time, also screw the two vertical profiles up to 50 cm high. Then, before placing the second row of glass blocks, we will proceed to fix the two vertical profiles and thus continue every two rows until we reach the desired height.
3
Use wood reinforcements, if necessary, in order to avoid the deterioration of the perimeter profile during its anchor.
4
Make sure the profile of the lower part and the two sides are level.
5
Place the first glass block at one end, without silicone, in the horizontal and vertical profile of the front row.
6
Apply a silicone line on the side of the block and then paste the vertical separation to the block by applying silicone on the outside of the block.
7
Continue placing blocks with vertical separations and silicone until you finish the first row, repeating steps 5 and 6.
8
Apply silicone to the top of all the glass blocks of the front row.
9
Position a horizontal profile above the front row of glass blocks on both sides with the two Ars-E01 hooks and set them in the two vertical profiles. Then, screw the horizontal profile to the two vertical perimeter profiles using the Ars-E01 hooks.
10
Repeat steps 5, 6, 7 and 8 until you have installed the penultimate block of the row. Frequently check the correct alignment of vertical joints. Screw the Enchange Ars-E01.
11
Slide your latest block down between the previous block and the edge of the perimeter profile and verify that the row is straight.
12
Apply silicone to the top of all the glass blocks of the front row.
13
Position the horizontal profile and set it to the two ends with the Ars-E01 hooks. Apply the Readysil silicone on the three surfaces that will be in contact with the blocks of the last row minus the last block of one end (see photo 6a).
14
Place the blocks in the center and slide them to the ends (see photo 6b) and begin placement at each end as was done in the previous ranks.
15
Apply a silicone strip in the center of the visible side of the block and repeat the steps listed in points 6 and 7 until you reach the last block.
16
Ars-H19 vertical separation will be dispensed with. Apply a reduced amount of Readysil silicone both in the last vertical separation and in horizontal profile. Not apply silicone or on the upper surface of the last block or on the side of the same where the vertical separation had not yet been placed.
17
Place the last block by pressing a little with the help of a screwdriver or spatula. Now apply the silicone around the last block as shown in the image, place a silicone line along the central slot of the vertical strip B and install the following block.
18
Adapt/crush the silicone nozzle as shown in the image so that it can be applied in the joint space where the Ars-H19 vertical separation has not been inserted. Do the same in the spaces between the upper side of the block and the upper horizontal perimeter profile.
19
Align the last block and also verify all the alignment of the last row with the vertical joints of the ranks underneath.
20
Once the placement of all the glass and, if it is liking, rejugate, using the traditional system that is best described below * possible reprimanded of the walls installed with the aluminum Readyblock system.
