Rue de Tolbiac
This renewal and expansion project of the building located in Street of Tolbiac 25 of Paris includes a 9 -storey wall, composed of 13,500 glass bricks with dimensions of 190x190x80 mm divided into 30 different shades.
In this case, the coloration of the glass blocks has been proposed and developed by us with the participation of the factory Bormioli Rocco Glass Block.
The project instead the disposition of glass and colors blocks has been created by the artist Carmen Perrin and the entire project and study of the renewal and constraint of the building has been designed and managed by the study of architecture of M. Vilo Bach, all works were commissioned by the owner Win Immobiliare.
The idea of this architectural gesture is In this way it was possible to exploit a "Reflection" effect In color that, thanks to the design of the installation, created unique color patterns.
The mother -colored bases used were seven: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple, which were then degraded in 23 other tones. From the street, a homogeneous set sensation is imposed in sight, while from the inside, on each floor of the building, users have a visual and sensual experience through “horizontal cuts” of seemingly random distribution.
